Jefferson City Symphony

Richard Jeric

JCSO's End of Season May Concert

Our final concert for this season was Tuesday May 13, 2014. The concert featured the winner of our 2014 piano competition, Richard Jeric, who performed Listz's "Totentanz." This piece is notable for being based on the Gregorian plainchant melody Dies Irae as well as for daring stylistic innovations. Other selections include Barber's "First Essay for Orchestra," Stravinsky's "Four Norwegian Moods," and a compostiion by our Music Director titled "Fe700C."
